The Mojave Buscadero gun rig features a rattlesnake concho on the holster and spots. Available in your choice of Black or Brown and straight right draw only. Legend has it that Wyatt Earp had a pistol grip with this rattlesnake on it.
Arizona has more species of rattlesnakes (11) than any other state in the United States. The Mojave Rattlesnake is often mistaken for the Western Diamondback as they are very similar. The Mojave sometimes has a greenish tinge (depending more on the habitat) and the diagonal light stripe behind their eyes does not contact their mount. They have a couple of enlarged scales on the top of their heads and often (but not always) the white bands on their tails may be much wider than the black bands. Found throughout Arizona and parts of California, Nevada, New Mexico and Mexico. It prefers open high desert grasslands and the low mountain foothills. It is sometimes slightly more aggressive than some of the rattlers due to the fact that it prefers trees, shrubs or open grassland instead of rocks. This species does not band together like most other rattlesnakes and are most active April through September. They hibernate alone or in small groups.
The rattlesnake is mother nature's rodent control helper. Their diet consists of rodents, lizards and an occasional rabbit.

Our fully lined gunbelts are made of 9-10 oz leather with smooth leather lining. The holster is made of 2 pieces 5-6 oz leather nap sides laminated together, smooth in/smooth out which creates a stronger holster that holds its shape better. High quality nylon thread is used for durability in the stitching of all our leather products.
