The Abilene Hair-On cowhide chinks have a solid yoke with a decorative stitching following the cut and grommet with leather rawhide lace in front, buckle in back.  Leather band runs along the side and bottom with large spots.  Three bleed knots are on the upper section of the chinks between the spots and pocket. Pocket with flap is double-stitched.

At Cochise Leather our western chinks and chaps are custom made to your order specifically for you.  When you put them on they will feel like the proverbial "old glove" and give you the protection (and look) that you need as they will fit as only a pair of custom made to order chaps can fit. Whether you are wearing them out riding in the chaparral rounding up cattle or dressing up for rodeo events, Cochise Leather's selection of custom western leather chaps and chinks will keep you covered.  Our western leather chaps offer not only protect your legs when your horseback riding but also provide additional warmth and protection when needed.

All of our chinks and chaps start at $350.00.  Please call us at 520-686-2829 for questions, pricing and ordering.  David LaFlair hand cuts and makes every item on our website in his leather shop located in Arizona.

Chinks are similar to chaps but are shorter, hitting somewhere above the ankle and below the knee.  The fasterners go no further than above the knee which allows the chinks to more more freely from that point.  Traditionally the fringe is longer in a pair of chinks and they look much fuller as they are not following the line of your leg as closely.
